According to some online sources, Brad also lived in Marshfield Hills, about 30 minutes south of Boston. An insider told that he later put the house on the market for $4 million.

Brad Whitford was born on 23rd Feb 1952, in Winchester, Massachusetts, in the United States. He is the son of Genevieve Smith Whitford and George Van Norman Whitford. He grew up with his brother named David Whitford. 

Brad attended Reading Memorial High School, graduating in 1970. He later joined the Berklee College of Music. At that time, Whitford also became the part of several local bands such as Cymbals of Resistance, Teapot Dome, Earth, and more.

Brad Whitford first tied the knot with Lori Phillips in Feb 1976. The couple divorced after two years of their marriage in 1978.
