Jaime Ray Newman is an American actress, singer, and producer.
The 42-year-old is an Academy Award-winning producer of the 2019 drama short, Skin, along with her husband.

Jaime Ray Newman was born on April 2, 1978, in Farmington Hills, Michigan. The daughter of Ashkenazi Jewish parents Marsha Jo and Raphael Newman, her sister, Beth Nicole is a public relations director at the apparel brand, J Brand.
Newman attended the elementary school, Jewish Hillel Day School in Detroit, and later, Cranbrook Kingswood School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
While at Cranbrook, Newman's passion and talent for acting flourished. She would perform at competitions and almost always bag the first place. At 16, she also founded the Apollo Theatre Productions, serving as producer and director.
